Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit

The folks at World Video Bible School have enlisted Denny Petrillo to present a study of THE BLASPHEMY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. He has done a masterful job in answering this often studied question. Here is their description of the video…

Have you heard of the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit? Have you wondered if you have committed this sin? The study of the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is a fascinating one, but also a frightening one. The thought of doing something that would provoke eternal damnation is frightening indeed. Join Denny Petrillo (Ph.D.) as he focuses on three areas: (1) What does the word ‘blasphemy’ mean? (2) What is the context in which the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit occurred? (3) Is it possible to commit this sin today?

Study of Galatians 1

Walking in Truth: called of GodOn Sunday, November 3, 2019, we are studying with our radio audience from Matthew 27.39-44.  We are completing a study we began last week. Here we find the SAD situation of God’s people joining others to MOCK the very Son of God. Yes, THEY MOCKED Him.

Also, we begin a study of Galatians chapter 1. Here Paul defends his apostolic authority because his authority had been attacked by Judaizing false teachers. Please listen by clicking

They Mocked Him

Walking in Truth: called of GodIn our message to the radio listening audience on October 27, we finish one study and begin another. We finished the study about THE BEGINNING OF CHRISTIANITY and we took up an important study of the cross. One of the matters Jesus had to deal with as He went to Calvary for you and me was the taunting disrespect of His own people. How very SAD! How very much LOVE He showed us! How very important was His willingness to endure the mocking and the disgusting spittle on His face! How much you and I ought to love and worship Him for His great gift! Study Guides for Matthew

4000.WebsiteGraphicMatthew’s Gospel provides the vital link between the Old and New Testaments. Matthew begins by tracing the genealogy of Jesus through Joseph; the birth of Jesus to the virgin Mary; the baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist; and Satan’s temptation of Jesus while in the wilderness. Jesus speaks more in Matthew than in the other Gospels, and His teaching discourses include the Sermon on the Mount (chapters 5-7); sending out the Twelve (chapter 10); parables of the kingdom (chapter 13); fellowship of the Kingdom (chapter 18); and the Olivet Discourse concerning the future (chapters 24-25). During Jesus’ final week His betrayal, trial, crucifixion, burial, and resurrection take place. Matthew concludes with the call of the Great Commission to all believers [The Rainbow Study Bible, p. 1131].

We hope these study guides linked below will be helfpul to you in a detailed study of this great account of the life of Christ. If you find them helpful please refer others to this site.
